If you’ve never visited Philadelphia, you’re missing out on something pretty cool. You can see neon hearts all over the city, including the giant one on the Pennsylvania State University campus. If you’re looking for a place to eat tacos in the Center City area, try Amberella. The restaurant proudly displays its neon heart on its exterior, glowing pink and displaying the message “UR HOT.”
Giant heart
The artist Amberella has been bringing giant hearts to new locations in the city for more than two years. The artist, who is a Visit Philadelphia partner, has even created Goth Hearts. Goth Hearts are located in Brooklyn at 379 Jefferson Street in Bushwick and 1140 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, while in Manhattan, they can be found on 30th Street between Broadway and Fifth Avenue in Chelsea. These works are interactive and will be on display for one to four weeks. The city is advertising the Goth Hearts in phone booths throughout February.
The heart, which weighs more than 400 pounds, is a landmark for the city. In its early years, the heart was made of wood, papier-mache, and chicken wire. In 1979, it was rebuilt with fiberglass, and it is still in use. Since then, it has undergone several upgrades. It now features a heartbeat derived from a database of heart sounds at the John Hopkins University. The heart is painted in vivid colors and is kept on display for the public to enjoy.
The Giant Heart is a landmark in Philadelphia for more than 50 years. Located in the Franklin Institute, the heart has been the center of educational activity for children. Children are taught about the anatomy and physiology of the human body, and are encouraged to lead healthy lives by following a balanced diet and exercising. The exhibit also shows how open heart surgery works and how the blood flows through the body. It’s easy to understand why this museum has become a popular destination for children, as it serves as a wonderful educational tool for families and children.
Goth Hearts installations in New York City
There are many different Goth Hearts installations around the city, from large-scale art installations in Times Square to smaller-scale sculptures. All of these installations have a gothic and punk feel to them. While these are definitely not for everyone, you can certainly experience them if you’re in New York City! Amberella’s neon hearts
When it comes to street art, few street artists rival the work of Amberella. She creates neon hearts and themed wheatpastes around Philadelphia, and she has recently expanded her work to Los Angeles. Her paintings comment on popular culture and social justice issues, and often take inspiration from her own experiences. The goal of her work is to evoke emotion in viewers. The artist has been creating work since 1999, and has partnered with major companies and musicians, including Lil Uzi Vert. She has even hosted art shows in Philadelphia, as well as hosted artists from other cities at her gallery. She is the recipient of the Rad Girls Artist of the Year award 2016.
Aside from creating unique neon artwork, Amberella is also creating a fun new way to promote her brand. She has partnered with the street artist Gritty and he has even taken to Instagram to flaunt the new designs. Both artists seem to be excited about the collaboration, and the hearts are on display around the city. In addition to the Flyers, the neon heart at Amberella’s Philadelphia location is a great way to show love for the city’s team.

During January, the Kimmel Center is hosting a number of events to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his life’s work. You can catch a family-friendly musical, a rock and roll spectacle, and a jazz performance. There is also a great concert by Jerry Blavat, Philadelphia’s “King of Rock and Roll.” With his knowledge of music and radio personality, you’re sure to enjoy this concert of feel-good hits from the ’50s and ’60s.
Arts Launch 2021
After 18 months of closure, the Kimmel Cultural Campus is reopening its doors for a FREE Arts Launch 2021 celebration. The event will feature more than 50 art organizations and diverse festival-style performances. It will be the first time the Kimmel Cultural Campus is being used for an event of this scale. The Philadelphia Orchestra will present the festival. During the event, attendees will be able to experience a wide variety of artistic genres, including opera, contemporary dance, and theater.
Arts Launch 2021 is a celebration of the arts and will feature more than 50 local and world-renowned organizations. The grand opening party will be held on Sept. 18, and the festivities will include free performances, workshops, and activities. The event will be free and open to the public, and organizations from across the region will be on hand to perform. The PNC Arts Alive series will be presenting several performances on its stage throughout the weekend.
