Whether you’re betting on the main event or not, you can make your picks by reading my UFC fight night 112 predictions. I’m going to discuss the fights between Tim Means and Alex Garcia, Bohm vs Leonardo and Silva vs Silva. I’ll also cover Oezdemir vs Diakiese and Pimblett vs Stansbury.
Tim Means vs Alex Garcia
If you’re a fan of the UFC, you’ve probably been keeping your eye on Tim Means vs Alex Garcia. The Dominican native has an impressive 4-2 record in the UFC and trains out of Canada’s Tristar Gym. He is one of the best fighters in his division, but he’s still a little undersized for this division. As a result, his height and reach advantage will give him the edge. Also, his striking is excellent, and he’s gotten a lot of heavy-hitters in his career.
Tim Means has been fighting professionally since 2004, and has 26 wins and 22 finishes. He’s also a former King of the Cage champion and has bounced around several weight classes. Means has won “Performance of the Night” twice in the UFC, but isn’t quite in the top 15 at welterweight. However, his record does make him a viable pick for this bout.
While it’s true that both men are highly skilled, Garcia’s recent performance has led some to question whether he’ll be able to retain his title. Garcia stopped Mike Pyle in just over three minutes and has shown that he’s an explosive striker. He’s also one of the most accurate takedown artists in the welterweight division, averaging 4.7 takedowns with 62% accuracy.
Bohm vs Leonardo vs Silva vs Silva vs Silva
Despite the fact that Victoria Leonardo has fought tough competition in the UFC, she is yet to claim a victory. Mandy Bohm’s wrestling skills will help her dominate on the ground against the former UFC lightweight champion. This is important because Leonardo has had trouble staying on the front foot in the UFC. Bohm will most likely go after a decision victory.
Victoria Leonardo is a top contender and will be looking to make another statement in the UFC. Her last two bouts ended in KO/TKO, so Bohm should win. Leonardo has suffered two knockouts, but she does have a decent striking stats. Her defense is also an advantage, as she has never been thrown off guard before.
Invicta FC has a lot of hype around this bout, and I believe this could be one of those. However, there are some things to watch for. First, we’ll look at the fighters’ ages. Bohm won’t be as old as Leonardo, so she’s likely to be a bit younger. Moreover, she’s likely to be a strong favorite.
Pimblett vs Stansbury
The Pimblett vs Stanbury UFC fight night 112 predictions are very simple. We’ll start by looking at Pimblett’s record, which is perfect so far. The aggressive Liverpool native has won four straight bouts by early stoppage. He’s also had success against the better fighters, including Rodrigo Vargas last March.
Mike Pimblett is known for his outspoken personality, sporting a hairstyle that resembles Jay from The Inbetweeners. He’s a solid fighter with a good grappling game and a good chin. Rodrigo Vargas, meanwhile, is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Rong Zhu. The underdog in his last four fights, Vargas is a good bet, especially if he’s not favored.
For this matchup, we’ll look at the lightweight division. Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is coming off a first-round knockout of Luigi Vendramini in his UFC debut. He’s a solid choice to win this one. And he’s a very good lightweight. And he’s a fan favorite in the UFC. He’s also a rising British star with a solid UFC record.
Oezdemir vs Diakiese
This is a must-see event for the MMA fan. This lightweight bout will be the biggest of the year, and I predict Oezdemir to win via TKO. Oezdemir was rated one of the top fighters in the UFC light heavyweight division four years ago. However, his recent struggles have left him vulnerable. Paul Craig has a 6-0 record and is undefeated in six fights.
Oezdemir’s chin and reach make him a dangerous opponent. He has scored 10 knockouts and has won seven of his ten professional fights. Although he may be a lightweight, he has great reach and a solid kickboxing style. Diakiese has a tough defense, but is still an excellent option for fight night.
The undercard is loaded with interesting bouts. The UFC has been known to feature a variety of fighters, and this card is no different. While it may not feature a heavyweight bout, it will feature a number of interesting matches. The eight-fight preliminary card will air on ESPN+ and the main event is slated to air on ESPN+ at 3pm ET.
Chiesa vs Lee
There are two strong contenders in this 155-pound main event: Mike Chiesa and T.J. Lee. Both are heavy-hitting grapplers, but neither is particularly explosive or elusive. Lee has won his last three UFC bouts and has a decent record. Chiesa is 7-2, but his recent wins have been against mediocre competition. His most recent victory came against Mitch Clarke.
Michael Chiesa has been ranked No. 6 in the featherweight division, but he missed one fight because of a back injury. Chiesa has won three straight, including two by submission. His hefty frame makes him a dangerous wrestler, and he has great striking. On the other hand, Lee has four straight victories and has shown a dominant ground game in the past. Chiesa will have to be careful and not overdo it.
UFC Fight Night 112 is a mixed martial arts event on June 25 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In the main event, Michael Chiesa will face Kevin Lee. In May, the two almost brawled, but officials quickly separated them and kept it civil. The fight will also feature a number of prelims, including one involving a rising lightweight named Felice Herrig.
The winner of this fight will likely become a top-level contender in the 155-pound division. Several factors will determine the winner, including how well Chiesa is rested and able to stay in the UFC. But whichever fighter emerges from this matchup, it should be an exciting bout. The 155-pound division is full of talent, and a winner here will be a formidable competitor.
Rodriguez vs Ortega
The UFC fight night 112 main event features two former contenders for the Featherweight Championship. Both men are jiu jitsu practitioners and have impressive resumes. Ortega is the favorite over Rodriguez, and is 15-0-0 in non-title fights. Ortega only has two losses, to Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. He has also earned bonuses by finishing fighters like Cub Swanson, Frankie Edgar, and Renato Moicano. Ortega is also a good grappler, winning almost half of his fights by submission.
While Ortega is an extremely dangerous fighter, he is still one of the top contenders. He was the unbeaten fighter in the UFC eight years ago, and was a top contender in the first half of his career. In fact, he fought Volkanovski three times in one year and was beaten twice by Volkanovski. If Ortega wins the bout, he will likely lock up a rematch against Volkanovski, whose last title defense ended in a draw.
For this matchup, the winner is going to be a man with a lot of energy. Rodriguez has the ability to brawl and is a great grappler. While Ortega is not the best wrestler, he can close distance with pressure and get Rodriguez on his back to set up a submission. That way, he’ll be able to take advantage of Ortega’s lack of power and erratic strikes.
